Green Children's Day in Wyrzysk

On 1 June 2026, Green Children's Day took place in Wyrzysk. The event was organised by the Primary School named after the Greater Poland Insurgents in Wyrzysk. It combined Children's Day celebrations with environmental education and activities promoting responsible waste management.

Activities on waste segregation

As NOVAGO, we actively participated in the event by conducting educational activities for approximately 400 children from grades 1 to 3. Together with the Head of the Municipal Guard in Wyrzysk, Ms Anna Rzyduch, we delivered a presentation on proper waste segregation and the importance of appropriate waste management for environmental protection.

An important part of the meeting was the practical section. For the activities, we prepared NOVAGO containers in colours corresponding to individual waste fractions. Selected children were asked to assign prepared waste items to the correct containers. Afterwards, together with the audience, we discussed the accuracy of the segregation and the most important rules for handling waste.

Waste collection vehicle and gifts for participants

The opportunity to see our waste collection vehicle up close also attracted great interest among the participants. On this occasion, we told the children about the waste collection system and explained how multi-compartment vehicles work. We explained that waste is not mixed, because individual fractions go into separate compartments of the vehicle.

At the end, each child received a reflector with the NOVAGO logo. The gift was intended to remind them both about safety and about good pro-environmental habits.

We would like to thank the Primary School named after the Greater Poland Insurgents in Wyrzysk for the invitation, the Municipal Guard in Wyrzysk for their cooperation, and all participants for their active involvement in the meeting. Environmental education for the youngest children is an important element in building responsible attitudes and a conscious approach to the environment.
